Visit Us

Whether you’re looking for a relaxing escape from the city or a fun outing for the kids, a visit to Rustic Road Farm always fits the bill!

If you travel west on Highway 38 just a few minutes down the road from the bustling west suburb of Geneva, you’ll escape the busy pace of the suburbs to a quiet, peaceful farm where chickens roam free, baby goats romp in the grass, pigs wallow in the mud and honey bees gather pollen from the vegetable plants swaying in the wind.

The first thing you’ll see when you arrive is the herd of sheep and goats—everyone’s favorite! They are always anxious for a scratch on the head, and if you time your visit right, you may even get to hold a baby goat. See below to learn more about our goats.

While you’re there, stop into the market and say hi to Marc and Luis. Shop for fresh vegetables, farm-raised meat, eggs from free-ranging chickens, jars of raw honey, and a number of other delicious weekly surprises, including Chef Marc’s own freshly made soups and sauces.

You can also find us at select farmers’ markets around town, check out our market information for dates and times. Just-picked produce along with other goods raised on the farm, such as eggs and honey, are available at various times throughout the year, pasture-raised chickens and heirloom pork, from chops and bacon to jowl and breakfast sausage, are also available.

Meet the Goats

We’ve had a great time raising goats here at Rustic Road Farm from champion stock. Not surprisingly, these friendly boys and girls are a favorite among farm visitors. We do not raise our goats for meat. Some of them provide us milk; all of them provide us joy!

If you are looking for a fun pet or a goat for your own home dairy, we do sell our goats to approved homes. Click here to inquire or, better yet, come out to the farm, meet the herd and talk to us in person!

They were busy when we were there on a Saturday morning, but we were able to hold goats pretty quickly and there was no wait to check out.

Such nice people, but let me tell you about the bacon and gumbo...Ohhhh so good. I live over an hour away but I would go back in a heartbeat. My only regret is not getting more while we were there.

We went here specifically to see the goats but came away with so much more. They had a farm stand where you could buy fresh dairy and produce. I bought fresh eggs, mushrooms, and goat cheese. They save greens for you to feed the goats as a bonus. So after you leave the farmstand, grab some greens and feed the goats!
